The Old People´s Home for Farmhands is located in Koppigen, near Bern, Switzerland. About 40 former farmhands live and work there, in the midst of a variety of animals, orchards, vegetable gardens and woods. The home's residents are members of a dying generation. They are the few left who still perform farmwork by hand instead of with machines - even bringing in grass themselves on a horse wagon. In the end, this is what provides them with a satisfied life - the chance to perform a hard day's work and the feeling of being needed.
